This weekend was a freezing cold one here in BMT. Me and Hoiness spent all weekend out on the bike. On Saturday we hit it out for 6 hours in the cold. My legs felt horrible all day, which I think was due to two days of back tot back muscle tension intervals. Hoiness for the first time literally took me to town all day. On the big climbs he was with me the whole way and out sprinting me on short climbs. I was very proud of the way he rode today. It showed that he is very dedicated to the sport and is improving. A LOT! After the ride we spent some time pigging out at my grandmas house and then went to a Billings Youth Triathlon Meeting where we discussed the team further and got another half hour to 45 min on the bike.
Sunday was a very cold day. We were suppose to have snow but luckily that held off. It was still a balming 25 - 30 degrees. Today i felt much better after re-carbing and getting some rest and a 6 hour ride the previous day. I got Hoiness back today up the climbs and attacking on the flats and downhill. The last hour I time trialed back home and averaged about 24 mph with two climbs at 10%. I was very happy with the result of this weekends rides with Hoiness and I am looking forward to one more week of hard training before a rest week.
Also coming up at the very end of March and the first week of April is my team Gas/Insintrik's team training camp in Moab, Utah, which I am totally stoked for. It sounds like Hoiness will be joining team Gas/Insintrik as well. I have also put on new pictures from this weekends rides on my twit pic site. Check'em out http://www.twitpic.com/photos/nateweston
