Well the past two weeks have been very hectic getting back to shool from spring break and getting homework done. Last week was a rest week for me which worked out great for easing back into school. I had a 3 hour ride on Saturday which I rode with Josh and did Buffalo Trail. For the first time that I can remember this year, we did the loop in under 2 hours. This may not seem like a huge deal but to do a 35 mile loop with about 5 miles of climbing, lots of wind, heart rate under 170, and in March, it was a pretty big deal. It showed me that I was in pretty good shape, even on a rest week. I finished the weekend up with a round of golf (which my dad beat me for the first time EVER!!!!! by one stroke), a indoor football game, and a 45 min ride.
This week started out with a rest day as always and then yesterday me and Hoiness went out for a 1.5 hour ride in the wind and snow with 3x20min tempo sessions. It was going good until I heard something going through the weeds and I looked back to see Hoiness riding down into the burrow pit! I thought what the hell is he doing lol? I went back and he said his pedal had came off, so I went back to find it and it was in 3 pieces, I shit you not!!! Now I understand that his Speedplay pedals are PINK, but I dont think that had much to do with it. They split right down the middle and he had the metal part of the pedal stuck in his cleat and the screws stuck in his shoe and bent at a 90 degree angle. Never seen that before. Today I went out in the wind for a 1.5 hour ride with 4x15min tempo sessions that were extremely tough with the wind.
The most exciting parts of this week are that prom is this weekend and my good friend Kalan is coming from Idaho to go with me :). Also my good friends her mom and dad are also coming down for the weekend, it should be a blast. Then today I got my finalized scholorship in the mail from Brevard College. So it is now official, I have signed the scholorship and mailed it back to Brevard to finalize my riding next season. I am VERY excited to be going to Brevard next season to race and to get an degree in exercise science. The team, coach, and community are amazing there and I couldn't ask for a better opportunity and place to grow as a person, student, and rider.

nice man, we'll see you in the fall.
Welcome to the family!
Have fun in Moab! I'm jealous. I worked out of there a few years ago and had a blast in the La Sals as well as on the other classics.
