Spring Beak

Well spring break has been great so far. It has given me a chance to recoup from school and get organized with everything around the house again. It has really been nice in the fact that I have been able to really focus on my eating and recovery in that I am not in a rush to go places and get things done. The weather has been outstanding until this morning. It has been in the 60's and sunny, but this morning it is raining with a mix of snow. Not good! It will be a cold ride for sure today. On Monday I was not suppose to ride but I went out and rode with Hoiness and the famous Uncle Jerry. I was content to just have an easy day but things got carried away and we put in some good efforts, enough to tire my legs even more after this past weekend. On top of that we climbed the worst hill in Billings, Fritz Hill which SUCKS!

On Tuesday I went out by myself in the rain and did four 20 min tempo sessions on the aero bars with new bar end tape (check it out on the twit pic site). I immediatley regretted riding at all on Monday as my legs were pretty tired from seven hard days in a row without a break on the bike.

On Wednesday I went out with the team and we had a great training ride. It was a little cold towards the end but we finished just before the rain set in. We did four 15 min tempo sessions up a series of climbs known as the pictograph caves. Besides the grade of the climbs being so steap, whe had a hellashious head wind that made it even tougher. Our main climber Ej Oxy and I really pushed on the final two ascents and I was happy that I was staying with our climber. We made a couple descents at 40+ mph and headed back home. After a huge lunch we took a nap andd ate again. Aw the life of a cyclist, I LOVE IT!
