I have spent the last four days here in Brevard, North Carolina where I have been visiting the college and getting to know the team and the coach and get some good rides in. On Friday I went on a ride with one of the roady guys from the team and found out just how beautifull it is here and how good these guys really are. I found myself going up a climb at 5 mph, afterward I asked what that climb was called and Marshall said man its just a normal road, you just wait to see climbs! So thats when I fully understood how good they are here and what a normal ride consists of. I went to my first cycle-cross race on Saturday and watched a pro race for my first time ever. It was SWEET! Today we did a 5 1/2 hour ride where we did two major climbs. The first being Ceasers Head which was 6 miles ranging from 14% to 27%, it was nutz. The second climb was Dupont where it only lasted 2 miles but was very tough at 15%. All in all it has been an amazing experience and I could definitely live here. I fly out to Kentucky tomarrow to visit Lindsey Wilson College which I am looking forward to. I hope to get some great rides in there and head back home for Thanksgiving.
